2026 WHOOPIE PIE CONTESTS

Entry Drop-Off: 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
Categories:
- Traditional Whoopie Pies - Classic version of the Whoopie Pie
- Whoopie With A Twist - A non-traditional whoopie pie - any variation that doesn't use chocolate cake with marshmallow filling. Let your imagination run wild!
Participation Rules:
- Eligibility: Open to amateur home bakers only. No commercial bakeries or professional chefs.
2. You must submit six whoopie pies. A disposable plate is recommended. The fair is not responsible for lost or damaged
non-disposable plates.
3. A complete recipe must be accompany each entry.
- For Whoopie with a Twist, the recipe myst clearly describe how it differs from a traditional Whoopie Pie.
- For Traditional Whoopie Pies, the recipe should adhere to the classic Whoopie Pie formula (chocolate cake with marshmallow filling)
4. Entries should be delivered to the Agricultural Exhibition Hall between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6th.
5. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
- Taste
- Appearance
- Authenticity to the Non-Traditional Recipe (for Whoopie with a Twist)
- Authenticity to the Traditional Recipe (for Traditional Whoopie Pies)
6. Prizes
- 1st Place $75
- 2nd Place $50
- 3rd Place $25

7. No contest entry fee. Admission to the fair is required. You may enter both contests.
